The Bedroom: One Man’s Trash Is Another Man’s Treasure

Following on from this post the other day, I thought I would share another instance where I have re-used and re-cycled in my room. Re-using items in a way other than their original intended purpose is good for both your budget and the environment, so win win all round.

The above mug was a Christmas present from Paperchase but being the clumsy oaf that I am, I dropped it the other day while washing it up and the handle fell off leaving a huge hole in one side. Not much use for boiling hot drinks then.

But instead of throwing it away, I thought it would make the ideal brush/tweezer/ nail file holder for my dressing table, and as you can see in the picture above, it looks pretty damn good. Whoever said you can’t be creative on a budget?!

So my brushes remain organised and my bank balance remains a little healthier! I guess I’m a ‘green’ person after all…

Thanks for reading :) x
