So it’s been well over a month since my last post (and somehow it’s now July?!) For a while I was posting about three times a week, which alongside a full time job, commuting for 3 hours a day, flat hunting and actually having a life was pretty time consuming! I’ve been writing this blog for over two years now and I definitely needed a break, but there are so many things I want to write about again that it seems time to start once more.
So, on to the good stuff. I was scouring the world wide web the other day when I spotted a reference to the amazing artist that is Ben Johnson. I was already pretty taken aback when I thought the images below were photos, but then I realised that they are actually incredibly realistic paintings.
Whether intricate and colourful, or strikingly contemporary and architectural, Ben Johnson’s paintings are amazingly realistic with exquisite attention to detail. Completely devoid of people, the focus is purely on the beautiful interiors with the result being amazingly calm and serene paintings. For someone who loves interiors, architecture and art, Ben’s work is a dream.
